BEGINNER - Learn to Sail CampEnjoy a summer of fun on the bay! Kids 8-15 can learn sailing and seamanship skills at the Stanford Intercollegiate Sailing Team’s Boathouse. Our staff of experienced US SAILING Certified Instructors will teach your kids lifetime skills in our fleet of 14’ dinghies. The new sailors have an opportunity for non-stop fun in, on and around the water in a safe, clean, outdoor environment. No experience necessary. Children should be comfortable in water and must complete a swim check. Lifejackets provided. Max 18 campers per session.
INTERMEDIATE Sailors Camp
For kids 12-16 years old who want to expand on their seamanship skills and work towards competing in sailboat racing. The class will be held primarily in the Stanford Sailing Team’s 14’ Dinghies. Two sessions of Beginner Camp or permission of Director of Sailing required for enrollment. Children should be comfortable in water and must complete a swim check. Lifejackets provided. Max 12 campers per session.

COST:
Beginner: $600.00
Intermediate : $650.00
Instruction is Monday-Friday, from 9:00am-4:00pm. Campers bring their own lunch. Pre and post camp care are available at additional expense paid by parents directly to camp counselors at a rate of $10.00 a Half hour.
WHAT TO BRING
A backpack or duffel bag with:
• Sunblock
• BATHING SUIT
• Towel (everyday!)
• Dry Clothes (everyday!)
• Lunch
• Snack
• Drinks
• Waterbottle (freeze it overnight for cool water all day!)
• Windbreaker & Fleece Jacket (especially if the weather’s looking damp)
If the weather report calls for cool temps and/or rain, send your child with some extra warm clothes. Remember, it feels 10 degrees colder on the water! Do not bring/wear anything valuable that you would not want to lose overboard!
WHAT TO WEAR
Closed-toe shoes that can get wet, like a pair of old sneakers
(Heavy-soled water shoes are great, NO FLIP-FLOPS or TEVA sandals)
T-Shirt or sun-protective shirt
Shorts/Bathing suit (for girls especially – underneath clothes)
Hat with retainer clip
Sunblock (Most effective if first application is before you are in the sun!)
Retainer strings for eyeglasses

Stanford Boathouse off Seaport Blvd in Redwood City. Transportation not provided.

TUITION
As indicated per session. Full Tuition is due upon registration. Register online Starting Feb 1 2010. Note: Scholarships/Financial Aid available, contact director for application. No balance refunds within 10 business days of camp session.
